Hey y'all There's a new podcast episode upped for your enjoyment, another episode of Stevie Copter's R&B Of Membership with a mix put together by very special guest DJ Matt Patton from The Dexateens! Matt and his Dexateen brothers are like family to ColdRice, when we hooked up with them at SXSW last month we were amazed to see Matt also rocking the soul tip with his other bad Wiley And The Checkmates at The Ponderosa Stomp. He just sent us this mix and Stevie asked if he could share with you. Okay So the originally planned Soledad Brothers special that we had booked for May had to be postponed due to their work commitments, we will reschedule as soon as possible. The next ColdRice event (after SXSW Benefit, more on that later) is our regular monthly event on Friday March 14th and it's a FREE PARTY! with ColdRice DJs rocking the show @ The Hare & Hounds Kings Heath High St Birmingham go and party and don't worry about being shaken down on the door! before that is our SXSW benefit show, help our house bands buy beer when they go to Texas to represent... Loads of new shows coming up, check out the events section. We're off to SXSW! FUSED MAGAZINE are having a showcase and 3 COLDRICE bands will be rocking the party,COPTER, SWAMPMEAT and THE BIG BANG. Off The Hook isn't just any old alternative night tho, it's a homegrown style happening put together by our close friends, the man is nowhere to be seen.
