COLDRICE SAYS:

“I’ve got some songs” Dan Finnemore (who at the time was the drummer for The Big Bang) told Stevie Copter late one drunken night. After hearing them Stevie decided they HAD to be recorded. Then they HAD to be played live, so Dan drafted T-Bird (who has become an invaluable member of the ColdRice family in his own right) to play the drums so he could serenade the public. Since then Swampmeat has gone from strength to strength, taking their country/blues/rockabilly tinged murder ballads all over the world, and Dan has even gone on to lend his songwriting talents to the international supergroup Low Cut Connie. Swampmeat remind us of everything that is good about ColdRice.

BIO:
The mighty T Bird provides laid back but spot on brushwork on the drums while Danny sings like the bastard son of Buddy Holly and Jerry Lee on a set of tracks that already sound like Sun studio classics. Just brilliant, simple tunes played the way they should be…with heart, soul and a large glass of the hard stuff.
